Yoga Basics
At Blue Point, we feel strongly that yoga is for everyone, and we are committed to removing all barriers to practice. If you're new to yoga, we have many options to choose from, including several Yoga Basics classes each week. Our Yoga Basics classes introduce the fundamental poses of yoga. The emphasis is on strength-building, standing poses, and breaking down sun salutation into easily accessible bits and pieces.
In yoga, you are encouraged to start where you are. This means that you don't have to be flexible, or strong or athletic to take a yoga class. You don't have to have special pants, or even a yoga mat. All you need is your own unique body, comfortable clothing, and a willingness to try something new. You will feel at home in our Yoga Basics classes and will see that there are a lot more people like you in yoga class than you thought! Yoga really is for everyone.
Our Yoga Basics instructors, Sara and Linda, have a great deal of experience with new students. They maintain an atmosphere of acceptance and light-heartedness in their classes, a perfect combination for the apprehensive new student!
