Anna Craig
Anna attended Duke University as an undergraduate, majoring in
Psychology. This lead her down a path to doctoral studies in clinical
and developmental psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. During
this time she began gathering experiences working with children and
families facing physical illness. Simultaneously, she also began
practiced Baptiste power yoga with Sean and Karen Conley at Amazing
Yoga in Pittsburgh, where she was captivated by the heat and flow!
After moving to Durham to complete her final year of clinical training
at Duke she began practicing at Blue Point. While this was a departure
from the hot world of Baptiste yoga, she felt at home with the
vinyasa-based classes offered by so many of the instructors. Moreover,
she found the increased emphasis on mindfulness woven into the
OM-based instruction to be both challenging and nurturing. With hopes
of incorporating yoga into her clinical work, and sharing some of the
joy and peace cultivated by her own practice with others she completed
the 200-hour OM yoga teacher training program through Blue Point in
2011. She lives in Durham with her husband and son (born in October
2011). She looks forward to continuing her yoga journey with you!
