Elizabeth's journey into yoga began when she suffered a low back injury and was unable to continue a daily running regimen that started at age 10. Her early yoga practice nurtured her back to an active lifestyle, but also unveiled a healthy and transformational alternative to the regular cardio and strength fitness routine. As she experienced the power of the mind body connection physically, she began to discover the impact this meditation in motion was having on her life emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Inspired by this initial growth, she began her teacher training in 2001 with the intention of furthering her practice and learning to adopt the yoga philosophy as a way of living and being. The practice was guiding her along her journey with such joy, positivity and a more liberated mind, that she felt encouraged to share this gift of yoga.

In her classes, Elizabeth teaches a creative, dynamic, educational and invigorating vinyasa flow that she hopes will guide you safely to your appropriate edge, for physical and spiritual awakening. To help you let go, she threads the fun modern tunes of many different popular musicians and invites you to use the internal vibration of the powerful breathing to bring a sense of tranquility amidst life's constant noise. From this calm and balanced state, you can uncover your true potential and motivation so that you can share this unique purpose with the world around you.

Elizabeth's foundation for teaching comes from her Ashtanga Yoga teacher trainings with David Swenson and Sharon Moon where she received her 200 hour yoga alliance certification. She is also thankful for the other senior teachers who have shared their love for yoga and their gift of knowledge through workshops and advanced teacher trainings since her initial certification. These include, Manju Jois, Tias Little, Dharma Mittra, Dave Oliver, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Edward Clark, Matthew Sweeney, Sharon Gannon and David Life. She intends to transmit yoga to her students with the same love and clarity that she has received in these teachings. She feels further inspired by her dog Bacchus, her love for music and her students.

Others have told Elizabeth that each class she teaches tells a story. To lose your inhibitions and ease your mind, you might think simply of her class as an opportunity for a meaningful experience and an adventuresome story time!

I live one day at a time
I dream one dream at a time
Yesterday's dead and tomorrow's blind
And I live one day at a time.
