Mindful Movement Tots through Teens

Join us at BPY Downtown for a kid-tastic program! We are offering four different group classes this fall to get girls and boys of all ages moving in the most mindful of ways. Mindful Movers is more than just a good time after school! Yoga helps children learn body awareness, build concentration and confidence, and gives them a safe space to tune out of their busy lives and be a part of a non-competitive community! Through awareness of breath, fun sequences of movement and teamwork, Mindful Movers will leave your child with a new set of tools and attitude to take on the world!

Mindful Movement for Kids (ages 5-8) with Devon Pelto at Blue Point Geer Street Next held on Tue, Sep 5, 2017 at 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
This enrollment runs from Tue Sep 5, 2017 - Tue Oct 10, 2017
The Mindful Kids will be invited to sit in a circle for introductions and breathing techniques. They will work on communication skills and learn tools to benefit them in calming emotions and being fully present in their bodies. This will be followed by fun and silly yoga poses, games and group work to strengthen their bodies, develop balance and expel some of that endless energy!

Mindful Movement for Tweens (ages 9-12) with Devon Pelto at Blue Point Geer Street Next held on Wed, Sep 6, 2017 at 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
This enrollment runs from Wed Sep 6, 2017 - Thu Sep 7, 2017
Mindful Tweens will begin to work on flowing through more challenging yoga poses, incorporating mindfulness meditations and continued breathwork. There will be a focus on positive self-image and a celebration of all bodies. The class is designed to be physically challenging, yet empowering. They may even leave with a few tricks to show off to their friends.

Mindful Movement for Teens (ages 13-17) with Jessica McGovern at Blue Point Geer Street Next held on Thu, Sep 7, 2017 at 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
This enrollment runs from Thu Sep 7, 2017 - Fri Sep 8, 2017
Mindful Teens will continue to work on more challenging postures while building their outer strength, confidence and relaxation tools. The breathing exercises will give a new place of calmness and a tool to help them navigate their teenage years. The physical exercises will help them to build confidence and positive body image. And the community of Blue Point will offer support and guidance.

Mindful Movement for Tots (ages 3-4) with Ashley McCullough at Blue Point Geer Street Next held on Sat, Sep 9, 2017 at 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
This enrollment runs from Sat Sep 9, 2017 - Sat Oct 14, 2017
Mindful Tots will be guided through a series of fun and engaging yoga poses, stories and games. This engaging class will keep short attention spans focused. These tots will be having so much fun they won’t even realize they are working on coordination and balance. Mindful practices will tots manage their emotion and have fewer temper tantrums!
Saturdays 11:15am-12pm
