Jessica McGovern

Jessica McGovern, RYT 200, started her path to Yoga upon reading Erich Schiffmann’s' Moving into Stillness'. Taken as an avenue to connect and, perhaps more accurately, re-connect with the body, mind, and spirit, Yoga has proven to be a transformative experience. After several years of home practice, extensive research into the teachings of Iyengar, David Coulter, Desikachar, Yin and Restorative schools of Yoga, she completed her 200-hour training with Yogaworks under the tutelage of Sarah Bell at Triangle Yoga Shala. Jes believes that Yoga does not need to be constrained by one particular method or style but, rather, by synthesizing (and continuing to incorporate new knowledge) one can maximize the benefits of many different avenues to achieve internal harmony. She feels it is critical to embody the foundational principles of yoga: Sukha (ease and flexibility), Sthira (strength) and, above all, Ahimsa (do no harm). Yoga should uplift, inspire, ground, support, and relax the body, mind, and heart, with the intent that its positive effects be felt off the mat, present in everyday life.

Rachel Campo

Rachel Campo began practicing meditation and yoga in 2010 to help alleviate the stress of everyday life. Through regular practice, she experienced improvements in physical, mental, and emotional health. Yoga helped her face life's adversities with greater patience and calm. With a desire to deepen her understanding of yoga, Rachel studied with Nicole Nichols at the Republic of Yoga and completed teacher training in June 2014.
Rachel teaches an invigorating class using asana and a focus on breath to encourage students to stay with current sensations and examine habitual reactions. She believes that yoga is a practice that helps us access the balance inherent in all of us. Rachel is a firm believer that yoga is for every single body. She is a huge fan of props, assists, and helping students develop a practice that is appropriate for their bodies.

Amy Nichols

Amy Nichols first found yoga when she was 14 years old and has continued to follow its path since. In a search to deepen her practice and understanding of the philosophy of yoga, she completed a 200 hr RYT Teacher Training with Mara Healy at the Balanced Unity Yoga School. Her practice is heavily influenced by Andre Lappa's Universal Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and cultivating a sense of mindfulness around all we do. Her teaching is centered on the belief that the physical practice can be adapted for every body and that the real yoga happens when we step off the mat.
